The big thing this week was implementing some spelling practice. I kind of glossed over the pages in HOP that suggested we practice spelling with the letter cards, so I decided to backtrack and do some spelling. We pulled out her jars of practice words and I'd read a word and hide it under the lid. Then she's put her magnetic letters together and check herself. Initially, she was doing the first and last letters of the words and skipping the middle vowel. But she seemed to get the hang of it pretty quick and we practiced several days.




We also did a Walk Through Bethlehem the previous weekend and the girls got little wooden nativity cutouts that Caroline had fun tracing on paper (that's the bulletin board pages you can barely see).
