Here's the Noah's Ark floating game. It was a work in progress because I wasn't sure how many animals would fit or float in our "boats." We ended up using a pimento jar lid, cinnamon roll frosting tub, plastic punch cup, and lid of a travel soap container. The travel soap container gave us the most success.

Here is Caroline doing math with her pumpkin coutners. I got two packs of 20 of them at the Dollar Tree in the holiday decor section.

Here's a game I made for Hooked on Phonics. We conveniently have six helper (or sight) words that she's learned, and they fit in our photo dice. So I made a chart for her to mark the words she rolls. We took turns and she thought it was so fun. I even worked in some math as we talked about which word we'd rolled the most or least or didn't need to roll anymore. When Kevin came home from work, she showed him her game card and explained what she'd rolled to put a sticker in the spot... for ALL 24 squares... "I rolled 'like' and put a sticker. I rolled 'like' again and put a sticker.... "
We made rainbow rice this week in honor of our Noah's Ark story. The girls lost a little interest mixing it up in the ziploc bags, but I think it turned out really pretty.
