WEEK 2 – FALL PRESCHOOL

CIRCLE TIME FOR THE WEEK
SONG: This is the day that the Lord has made
CALENDAR: Days of the week song
BIBLE STORY: Samuel (1 Samuel Chapter 3)
MEMORY VERSE: Ps 85:8a “I will listen to what God the Lord will say”
CHARACTER TRAIT: Attentive
MOVEMENT ACTIVITY: Jingle, jingle, jingle go the baby bells song (from Kindermusik). Use bells, egg shakers, and tambourine.

MOTOR ACTIVITY FOR THE WEEK:
Shakers (beads, buttons, screws, cotton, bells, beans, noodles, pennies, rice) in singe serve ice cream containers. Match to printed sheet. I also glued pictures under container for self checking.



TUESDAY:
FAMILY: Bible Story Coloring Pages
SCHOOL: HOP Lesson; Yellow Kindergarten CD 2:4-7 (Helper word LIKE)
Use happy/sad face stickers to make a list of likes and dislikes.



WEDNESDAY:
FAMILY: Park play and listen for cars with eyes shut (we painted instead)

FAMILY: Blind folded hide and seek (not sure what we did, but it wasn’t this)

We are also going to work on a listening/obeying the first time this week. I’m making a chart of faces and she’ll earn ears for them when she listens well. At the end of the week, she’ll get a CD of her new favorite song (Girls and Guitars).

Also did a game with her dice and the first 6 helper word cards from HOP.
Also had her read the first 5 HOP books in one sitting.
We also made spider's web cards for our friends at Ainsley Courte. I wrote TERRIFIC, RADIANT, and SOME PIG on them. Caroline drew the webs and spiders. Then we put glitter glue on the spiders and jiggle eyes.
