Flashcards and Trains

Did you know that those little zipper pouches that your dentist give you your free toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss in, are the perfect size for flashcards? Sure beats fighting with the box all the time.

Here's a sneak peak at Home Preschool Week 3. We don't always do a theme, but this week we are doing a lot of train stuff since we are going to Zube Park to ride trains this weekend (if it doesn't rain).

Anyway, did you know you can make letters from those wooden train tracks? Handwriting Without Tears sells wooden pieces to form letters and that inspired this idea for one of Caroline's centers. Sometimes the letters are a bit distorted and I don't think I have enough straight pieces for a M or W, but she still enjoys it. And she isn't at all upset that you can't actually drive the train all the way around the letters, she just enjoys circling on the placemat.

She took the picture of the D all by herself.
