Week 23 In Review

We celebrated Valentine's day this week.
We finished off 1 Corinthians 13:4-6 and singing "Jesus Loves the Little Children" for circle time.
We also included my neighbor's son for our Monday circle time.  We have a tradition for inviting an extra friend on holiday weeks.  He's a little younger than Charlotte's age and may do a little preschool with her next year, so it was fun to see how he'd react to our routine.  He was very into the singing and sat on our circle time quilt like a champ.

I love it when things line up.  Notice that we studied the heart for science this week.

Charlotte's shelf has: shape puzzles, sorting links, Valentine's pre-writing with dry erase, valentine's with stickers, Valentine's number clip cards, Valentine's ABC match up (draw a letter from our foam ABC puzzle pieces, then mark it on the game board with a magnetic fuzzie), lacing of the 1 Corinthians 13 love attributes.

We played a really fun Valentine's Bingo game from crayola.com at least four times this week.  The kids used our do-a-dot markers to stamp out the items that I called.  I printed one game board and colored the pictures so that I had call cards.  We always played until someone got Bingo and then we'd keep going until we blacked out the board.

Then, of course, we made Valentine's.

The girls had a special Valentine's breakfast with red juice, and chocolate/strawberry waffles.

Then they colored the princess pictures that I got for them.  They didn't color with just water very well, so we ended up getting out the watercolors.
