I caught Charlotte practicing "crawling" in her crib. It's probably only a few weeks away.
I'm sure that I'm less purposeful in teaching new skills to Charlotte. It's good to be watching some first-time parents on their blogs. It reminds me to set aside time to work on things with her. I was inspired by Children's Learning blog to work on cause and effect stuff this week. We were playing on the floor and I started patting the floor. I was so excited to see Charlotte imitate me.

I went through the same thing - you aren't as aware of the things they can do, so when they imitate or interact, it's suprising and makes you wonder how you could miss it!
