Shake, rattle, and roll

I taught Charlotte to hold a rattle on Monday (okay, so I forced it into her grip). She held it for at least 10 minutes. I even ran downstairs to get my camera and could hear it rattling as I came back up the stairs. I even got it on video. See how she's trying to put it in her mouth.

I commented proudly to Caroline... "look, Charlotte's playing with her rattle" and Caroline responded... "all by herself!" I'm so impressed that Caroline appreciated the excitement of the moment.

Charlotte, you are as cute as you can be! You make Grandma smile every time!

In these videos, Charlotte really responds to your voice, Margaret. The smile, the big eyes, the arms and legs get going. It's like she is just busting to talk to you! Her whole body is involved! I'll bet Charlotte is going to be very social and physically active. I picture her bee-bopping around, talking to everyone, all smiles and charm! Just a hunch...

ha ha.. i love this.. but i must say, you can't tell she was "forced" to hold the rattle. She sure likes to hold it tight and shake it!
