Well, I'm so glad that I searched and e-mailed a lactation consultant at 11 PM last night. One of the best $85, I've ever spent.
It took over an hour but we finally got Charlotte to nurse. And Kevin and I were able to repeat at the next nursing.
I think we had the consultant stumped for quite sometime, so that validates my frustration a little bit. Hopefully, Charlotte will continue to improve and we can stop using the the shield and tube that get's her started soon, so I'll have a little more freedom.
Thanks to all my mommy friends for their encouragement!!

I am so glad you got it worked out. I have heard that BF can be some of the most difficult times. (which I am not looking forward to!).
I'm so glad you called the lactation consultant! I think that may have been the one the dr. office I used to work for recommends. It's better to have someone help you than to struggle with it on your own. I hope to come by thursday (if yall are having a good day!) I'll call you. I'm praying that things would get much better quickly!
Praying for you! I'm so glad you were able to get help!
I'm so glad it worked out!
Those women know their stuff! :) And it's so wonderful they are so supportive to breastfeeding, also.
Glad you are feeling better!
I'm so happy for you! I can really feel your frustration with the whole process. Tyler used his nipple shield for 10 weeks and I was convinced he was going to use it forever! Then one day he just pushed it aside and never looked back. Those babies love to give their mama's a hard time!
