Okay, now for a blog from mommy, while Kevin runs out to get himself dinner.
First to answer a question... Charlotte has dark brown hair. It's pretty sparse in the front but long enough for a clip on her crown and in the back. My mom says that's exactly the way my hair was at birth. I guess in about 6 months, mommy will have two sets of hair to fix each morning.
Charlotte is so quiet. I know this could change, but honestly folks, she doesn't cry at all. And the sounds she does make are so cute and squeeky.
Labor was a bit more unpleasant this time around because I had a different kind of epidural. I didn't know there was more than one way. This time I got two bolus injections whereas last time it was a constant flow of medication. And this time I was tingly, whereas last time I was just totally without feeling. Which all that combined made the "pressure" a lot more sharper. But the cool thing was that I actually felt Charlotte come out and I don't think I could feel that with Caroline. (Hope that wasn't TMI, but honestly, I don't think any guys read my blog.)
I went from 4 cm to 10 cm in 1 1/2 hours!! Then, I had Charlotte in only two contractions (5 pushes). My OB wanted the nurse to have me start pushing before he arrived, but luckily she and I knew better and waited for him - or we would have had a baby with no doctor present. Kevin, my mom, and my dad all got to be there.
We really wanted to go home today so I could get decent sleep tonight (I'm addicted to our memory foam mattress and don't sleep well without it), but they won't release Charlotte this early (no problems, just being conservative). So my remedy is that I'm taking a sleeping pill tonight at the advice of my BFF.
Charlotte hasn't totally caught on to nursing yet, but I'm sure she'll get there. I'm really not stressed about it. I figure that once we don't have nursery staff breathing down our neck and I can feed her "my way" at home, it will all get worked out. But I'd appreciate your prayers in that regards anyway.
Here's a video for all of you that read all my ramblings:

Hey margaret! Thanks for the update. I'm just so happy for you!! Two girls..SO fun!!! I can't wait to see how different or the same they are.
I'll be praying about Charlotte's nursing. You are right. You'll be much more comfortable at home where you can nurse her the way you want to with out all the pressure from the hospital staff. Yow know what you're doing, you just have to teach Charlotte and give her a few days to get the hang of it. Once you're milk comes in, she'll be lovin it :)
I'm sorry I didn't come visit you in the hospital. I've been so sick and I'll have to wait until we're all better.
I'll be praying for Caroline, too. Her little world is a little confusing right now, but she's so sweet that it probably won't take her long to fall in love with her sister. At first Reece didn't want to be near Joseph, but now she loves to hug and kiss on him :)
Can't wait to meet your little sweetie! :)
She is beautiful! Congrats on the new baby GIRL!!!
so fun! i loved how caroline's hand was so gentle on her little sister.
will be praying for the nursing and for the adjustment to a family of four. CONGRATULATIONS!!
