Charlotte got to come home today.
Ready in our going home outfit:
Getting a ride downstairs with mommy:
Big sister is so glad everyone is home:
Caroline thought that our hospital bands were band-aides, so the first order of business was letting her help cut them off of all three of us:
Caroline was a great helper giving Charlotte a bottle:
After "the girls" naps (we think it's going to be so fun referring to our children as "the girls):
I gave Caroline a choice of having a tea party with or without Charlotte... and she wanted to share mommy, so us girls had our party together. Having a tea party:
At one point, Caroline got out a baby bug book and sat next to Charlotte's chair to read it to her. It brought tears to my eyes. Caroline also shared both of her bedtime blankets with Charlotte, gave her a baby bottle, plate and lemon, referred to her unprompted as baby sister, and did a pretend pray that we always prayed, but replaced "baby" with "Charlotte." I guess she really understood that mommy's baby that was in her tummy is her new baby sister.
Then Caroline finally wanted to sit and hold Charlotte. She thought she was heavy, but I managed to keep her holding Charlotte until Kevin could get to the room with a camera. Yay for the new sisters:
