I bought Burt's Bees Shampoo & Wash today at Target ($8.99) and tried it out tonight. Michelle is right... it smells really good. And it makes a velvety soft lather in Caroline's hair. I give it two thumbs up.
The reason for all this Burt's Bees talk lately is because my friend, Michelle, found http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com and discovered all the bad stuff that they put in our baby products. She did all her research and decided to go with Burt's Bees, so I'm jumping off the bridge with her, so to speak. (I added this to my "Baby Registry" advice link.)
To continue with the Bee theme of this post, Caroline has a new cool bath toy. An empty honey bottle. Just the plain cylinder honey container... thoroughly washed. It is the perfect size for her to grip and the small mouth makes for great bubbles when submerged. She had such a good grip in fact that she was able to dump it over her head and then straight into her face (which she tolerated pretty well, so I was able to laugh at how funny it was).
To all my friends with newer babies... if you haven't yet recycled something into a baby toy - you haven't lived!! It's so fun. We have a Country Crock tub full of marbles (taped shut), an empty Parmesan can with macaroni and sequins (ES9000'd shut), and an Animal Cracker tub full of lids from Baby Puffs with the ABC's written on them. And when she was younger, we used an empty Kleenex box to hide toys and find them.

(And because I'm tired of posting with no picture, here are the toys.)

Recycling what other people would consider TRASH? And giving it to your baby to PLAY with? Is that called "trash to treasure"? Now that's just NUTS! One of your in-laws must be rubbing off on you ;P hehehe
Watercolor Ponies
just kidding, of course. Can't wait to play with Caroline and her new toys this weekend!
