I just received excellent service from two businesses in Houston. Since service is becoming a lost art, I figure that I should brag on them for any of my friends that live close enough to care. Although, I guess since it is my body shop and rental car branch - I wouldn't wish that any of you would need them.
Anyway, there is really friendly service at the Enterprise at 16130 Clay Road. So nice that I actually just wrote them a nice letter. I remembered the assistant manager's name the service was so pleasant and I never remember names. And they gave me the "insurance" rate even though we are settling outside of insurance which saved me over $10 a day. I think that in the future, I would drive the extra 10 minutes to rent from them instead of the branch on 529.
My second is the body shop. Again, I hope you never need one, but I recommend Auto Collision Center at 4940 Highway 6. The owner actually knocked my $849 estimate down to $800 for no reason. Now, after I paid, the owner and I discovered that Caroline's mirror had gotten bumped and broken because they detailed the inside of my car - but hey, for $49 I can buy a new one at Target and still be ahead. (He did offer to buy a new one, but that just doesn't seem right.) Oh, and BTW, I had gotten other estimates from some other close body shops and they were $1300 and $957.
