Puzzles and Games

Here are some pictures from last Thursday night. Yes, we watched the Green Bay Packers play : ) How could you tell?

Anyway, last week I bought Caroline a wooden puzzle that has large knobs on each piece.

Caroline found another use for the knobs.

Today, Caroline and I went to The Little Gym. It was our free trial class, but I'd already decided that signing up was way out of our budget... $300 per semester - Gee Wiz!! Plus, I think Kindermusik is way funner : ) Anyways, Caroline clung to me the entire class. All the other kids were running/crawling around and Caroline had her tiny hand tightly clenched in my shirt. I'm sure that it's just a phase, or maybe she inherited my shy streak that I had up until high school. We did learn a fun game though, that I think Caroline really liked. I lay on my back and hug Caroline to my chest. Then I roll over, but put all my weight on my elbows - so I'm rolling over Caroline, but not on her.

Chloe clings to me as well. I haven't been able to sit through a whole church service yet. She and I were in Houston last weekend though and saw Caroline in the class that Chloe "visited". Those nursery people are wonderful. They worked so hard with Chloe so that I could actually go back to the church service. What wonderful people!

I'm glad she likes that puzzle; I think I ordered the Melissa and Doug Farm Animal one with the big knobs for her birthday!

Lydia's Bible class has some knobby puzzles like that for the kids to play w/ before class starts... and she does the same thing w/ the pieces that Caroline does. :P
