Picture Post

Just wanted to put up a couple cute pictures from this week...

This one is from today. We went to Beyond Bounce with Caroline's playgroup. Since kids under one are free, I'm making use of the place before we have to start paying. It took a couple minutes to warm up and let go of mommy, but then Caroline had a blast.

This picture is from earlier this week. Caroline is playing with the magnets that Grandma got her a couple weeks ago. It is a great past time. I put the Aggie rug in front of the fridge so she didn't have to sit on the cold tile. The rug was in her daddy's dorm room and originally belonged to her Grandad.

My favorite new thing that Caroline can do is that she can turn book pages. Sometimes I have to lift the page a bit - esp. with the cardboard book - but she is really good at it. She has a book for "Old MacDonald Had A Farm" and it seems to me that she has a rhythm to turning the pages. Usually she turns the page twice per verse - which means I end up skipping one animal, but who cares.

My lesson learned this week is in reassembling the Around-we-go. It a toy that is the opposite of an exersaucer... there is a table in the middle orbitted by a chair. Well, I had removed the chair when my nephews were in town and then reattached it. I must not have gotten it 100% attached because about 10 minutes into the second time Caroline played in it, I heard a noise and the arm that holds the chair let go of the table center. While I was concerned for Caroline's safety, it was sort of funny because Caroline was able to keep the chair moving awkwardly across the floor and she wasn't too phased by the whole experience.

Oh, and from anyone that read my stair post... we have a downstairs gate now. I finally found one that matches the top of the stair gate at Big Lots of all places. A nice metal one for $25.
