Cinderella, cinderella...

I have several new things that Caroline is doing to share...

My favorite is that she likes to pull her blanket out of her crib. We rotate between two blankets in her crib, a yellow one with chenille on one side and satin on the other, and a pink weave with satin edges (similar to my "blankie" as a child and Diana also - the reason she bought it for Caroline). Anyway, Caroline likes to pull up on her crib rail and reach into her crib and then pull the blanket out between the slats. It takes some tugging sometimes - and a little help from mom. Yesterday, she had the pink one and pulled it over her shoulder and started to crawl out of her room with it. She kept letting go of it mid-crawl and I'd remind her, "don't forget your blanket." She'd come back, grab it again and take off. It took several attempts, but she finally made it out of her room with the blanket. It was one of those moments where you think your child is so cute that you just can't smile big enough.

(Yes, she really sleeps this way... on her knees.)

Another thing I've noticed this week is that she'll grab her burp rag, that I keep by my recliner, and start rubbing the end table with it. The end table is really low to the ground and a favorite to pull up on. It really looks like she is dusting the end table - thus the title of this post. I doubt she's imitating me - I hate to dust. Although, I do wipe down her high chair tray after every meal so maybe that's where it is coming from.

Okay, and one more. Today, she was standing against the wall beside the fireplace. She started banging on it - which I'll have to start reprimanding from now on - and she thought it was so funny. She was actually laughing at herself!! I guess I should preface this with the fact that for having such a funny daddy, Caroline isn't a big laugher. So, I was really impressed that she managed to amuse herself in this way.
