First, let me say - yay!! My camera has started working again.
The display on our digital camera had resorted to showing only a white screen - although, somehow the HP logo during startup still worked. It wasn't such a big deal, except that no display, meant that I couldn't use any of the menus, delete photos, or even see photos. It was like using an old 35mm camera with the view finder and hoping the picture got Caroline looking at the camera. Anyway, my batteries had gone completely dead - so dead that I had to reset the date and time - and now it works. I seriously jumped up and down.
On another technical note, the automatic window on the driver side of the mini-van has stopped working. Not a big deal here in Texas where you wouldn't ride around with the windows down unless your A/C was broken. But of course, I'm in the pharmacy drive through when the window refused to go down. I felt like such a dork standing outside of the door sending them my Rx slip. I'm hoping the window is still under warranty.
Update
We just got back from taking Caroline on an outing and now the camera display doesn't work again, and my car window does. Go figure!!

Hey Margaret, Kevin & Caroline!
Some cameras have one of those disc-shaped lithium (or whatever) batteries in addition to the main batteries. It will die and need to be replaced after X number of years. Just an idea...don't know if yours has one.
Re car windows: I always get confused and roll down the wrong one - really feel dorky!
