What a fun, yet crazy Fourth of July.
We had planned on attending our neighborhood Fourth of July parade, but we awoke to a rainy morning. So, no parade. But Caroline's stroller was all decked out, just the same.
I figure that our dogs have been left out of a lot of photo opportunities lately, so I got them all dressed up too. Aren't they cute and patriotic?
Then, we decided to go try out a place called Beyond Bounce. It is an indoor place with moonwalk type stuff for the older kids, but it has a whole section for babies. After she warmed up, Caroline had a good time with the rocking horse, climbing cushions, and baby toys.
It was a good outing (and free), except that we witnessed a really bad accident on our way there. We called 911 and stayed around to give our statement, which the cops ended up not needing to take.
We bought some fireworks on the way home and did some sparklers and small stuff with Caroline before her bedtime.
Then, Kevin and I took the baby monitor outside and watched our neighbors set off fireworks. We had a really good time hanging out just the two of us - and Kevin took the opportunity to smoke a cigar - yuck!! The bangs and booms woke Caroline up around 9:45, so I headed in and tried to get her to go back to sleep. Kevin took over at 11:30, and then I tried feeding her again and then Kevin finally got her to sleep after midnight. I'm glad fireworks only happen a few times each year.

I cant believe how big she is getting! I'm glad you guys had a nice 4th. I love the pictures!
I am glad you guys had a happy 4th. Noah had a really rough time sleeping too. I ended up putting on a cd and it helped mute the fireworks. And by the way, it is JUST as bad New Years too!!! I was thinking they should have a firework curfew :)
