Caroline is 6 months old today. Where does the time go?
Caroline started sitting up last week. She can sit for about 10 seconds before she starts to lean back or tip to the side. It's fun to watch her just sit and play with her toys. She's also started to roll from her back to her tummy in order to get closer to a toy. And her new thing is to lean when we are holding her - either to get to the remote or to reach at the end table.
What is it with remotes and kids? We should give them a remote from birth so they get bored with it and then we don't have to keep it away from them once they get old enough to get into trouble. Somehow, I doubt that would work. And how is it that kids know the difference between a real electronic device, and one that you've taken the batteries out of for them to play with? We tried that experiment with one of Kevin's youngest cousins. They want the real cell phone, not last year's discarded model. Okay, enough of this tangent.
Caroline also just learned to splash in her bathtub. She's been splashing her feet for awhile, but just started with her hands this weekend. It's really cute, but leads to a very wet mommy and vanity mirror before bathtime is over.
She also learned to play peak-a-boo by pulling a scarf up over her head and then pulling it down. Which also started her to holding all of her toys over her head.
Okay, bath time. Gotta go.
