Hiding Spot

The girls created a new game over the past week.  It's called "Hiding Spot" and it consists of barricading yourself behind a wall of couch pillows, blankets, babydolls, and anything else you can think of.

It's a lot of fun to clean up, let me tell you.

Sometimes they play it in their bedroom, but more often, they play it under the bathroom vanity.  The push the laundry baskets out from underneath, pull out the drawer to extend their ceiling, and pile all the toys around.  Usually, they have pillowpets and blankets so they can "sleep."

Hilarious! The words that came to mind when I saw what Caroline and Charlotte created here is "beaver dam". Really...doesn't it remind you of the way beavers pile up logs and branches to form a dam? I also like the way they "pull out a drawer" to extend the roof of the bathroom hiding place. Clever girls!
