Coloring Easter Eggs

We had a housefull for Easter this year and had a blast enjoying the company of all our cousins. I love how well the girls get along with their cousins on both sides of the family. I pray that they always have good relationships.

My mom and dad came to town on Thursday evening and we spent Friday morning enjoying the girls. My dad actually built a mantle for our fireplace (a belated birthday present) so we took Caroline on a field trip to Lowes and Home Depot also.

After naptime, Will came with Jenna, Brent, his fiance, Cece, and her daughter Teagan. We colored eggs with all the kids in the afternoon and then we celebrated and early birthday for Brent.

Coloring eggs went really well considering we had five kids surrounding a table of dye and paint. We tried out some egg stampers that I got on sale last year. I also let the big kids try their hand at coloring hot eggs with crayons. It works amazingly well. You just color right on them after you take the eggs out of the boiling water. The crayon wax will rub off though, if you handle them too much with a towel.
