I've been making bows for Caroline ever since my friend, Julie, taught me to make them this fall. Since several of my friends wanted to know how to make them, I threw a "Brownies & Bows" party and gave everyone a lesson.
It was a big hit (if I do say so myself) and there ended up being twelve of us in all.
The best part was that we could all share ribbon. This picture of my counter is from early in the evening. The ribbon spools where everywhere by the end of the night.
I was especially impressed that I had three moms of boys come. Maybe there is a baby girl in each of their futures!
I know we are only talking hairbows here, but all these lovely ladies make me think of the Proverbs 31 woman... pleased to work with her hands, making coverings for her family, taking hold of the distaff and grasping the spindle.
It was a really fun evening and I think everyone was pleased with the results. We will definitely be doing it again (maybe we'll have a new AC by then).
