Mother's day

The girls (ie. Kevin) helped me celebrate Mother's Day on Saturday - since Kevin was playing at church on Sunday.

It started with Kevin doing Charlotte's middle of the night feeding for me. Glorious, uninterupted sleep!! He even let me banish him to the couch so I wouldn't even hear Charlotte on the baby monitor - because lets face it, then I'd be awake, realize how full of milk I was, and want to feed her anyway.

Then, Kevin took Caroline in her PJs to pick up donuts for me. Yummy!!

And Caroline had made a card with daddy (she even told me about the surprise on Friday night). He held her hand to write her name and she knew every letter that they wrote. Kevin also got me a mom t-shirt that I asked for (see pictures).

Since I'd had a full night's sleep, I spent naptime making shirts (also see pictures) for the girls with ribbon from the cake at my baby shower. It's been a longtime wish project that I finally drug my sewing machine out to do.

I love being a mom!! It's the best job in the world. Challenging at times, yes, but I wouldn't trade it. I was putting Charlotte to bed the other night and I thought to myself how blessed I am to get to do this a second time.

Love the mom squared shirt. So cute, and perfect for an engineer. ;-) The girls' shirts are adorable! Good job.

Very sweet post Margaret. In the third pic, Charlotte looks a lot like your mom. Fitting for mother's day photos. Glad you had a great day!
