Kevin and Caroline finished reading the first book in the Chronicles of Narnia last night. It's something they've been working on since around the time Charlotte was born. I can't believe Caroline will sit for a book with very few pictures in it, but she does. Kevin's copy has a few color pictures - which Caroline is always eagerly waiting for.
If any dads out there are not involved in their child's daily routine, I highly encourage it. Kevin has done Caroline's bath since she was just a few months old. And when he started doing her bedtime story a couple months ago, Caroline took a whole new interest in daddy - asking about him when she woke up in the morning, and giving unprompted hugs when he got home from work.
Theoretically, Wednesday is Kevin's "night off" and I do the evening routine so he can be at praise team practice or watch ESPN. We are a little out of practice though since Charlotte came along. But I tend to help more on the other nights of the week.
