Children's museum

We went to the Houston Children's Museum on Thursday with two families from playgroup.

Charlotte got to ride in the Cumming's double stroller with Adah - they were born about 4 days apart. Once they both had a bottle upon arriving, they were ready to enjoy the sights.

Caroline, Nate, and Henry had a lot of fun. Caroline was a little shy in the first room, but warmed up to the phones. She was calling Grandma.

I think the kids all agreed that the vintage Mustang was the highlight of the day. Caroline already asks for permission to sit in the driver seat while I unload the mini-van (and I usually let her), so playing in a car where you can touch everything was a great treat.

I have to brag on Caroline for a minute. Twice, I asked Caroline to get out of the driver seat to give the other boys a turn and she immediatley obeyed. I was so impressed! She usually has a problem with the "right away" part of obeying right away, but not this day. I was so proud of her and bragged on her to daddy a lot when he came home.

Shopping in the grocery store. My only complaint is that the baskets are so small that it was hard for her to put a full size milk carton into it.

Charlotte and Adah sacked out while the bigger kids played in the Tot Spot area. I think I'll go to that room first next time, so Caroline can play contained while Charlotte eats.

Did you notice the girls cute matching outfits? Our friends, the Stewarts, bought them for the girls. I'm going to find some strawberry buttons to sew into the centers of matching bows and then I may get their pictures done in them.

We are off to the zoo tomorrow to enjoy the cooler weather.

Once again, when reading your blog, i want to say out loud "ME TOO!" LOL. Madelyn likes putting "clicks" in my hair. And our thing is "obey right away with a good attitdue." Does it always happen? NO. But, that's the goal :)

Yes, I got that call from Caroline (collect, of course!). She told me that she was having a wonderful time at the Children's Museum and promised to take me and Grandpa there on one of our next visits to Houston!

Love,
Grandma
