Mom-servations

Just some random thoughts...

- It takes a lot of mental concentration to correctly sort two daughters' laundry. I'm sure it will be even worse when Charlotte is a toddler and her clothes don't all have snaps. Speaking of which, I forgot how hot those darn things are coming out of the dryer.

- Charlotte wants to suck on her fist. She's always shoving it in her mouth and getting drool all over herself. I'm sure as she gets more co-ordinated she'll be sucking on one of her fingers. Occasionally she'll take a paci, but usually it just makes her mad. Caroline liked her paci.

- Charlotte crosses both her arms over her chest when she's nursing. Caroline liked her lower arm stretched up under her head and around my waist. But Charlotte nurses the same as I remember Caroline... forever. I've had to time both my girls or I seriously think they would nurse all day.

- You know I've been wearing elastic waist pants too long when I initially forgot to unbutton my post-Caroline fat shorts when nature called.

- We were fortunate to make it the first 4 weeks without any major diaper blowouts. I was begining to think that experience had something to do with it. But our luck has run out.

I had more time on my hands when Caroline was at Granny's, so I actually posed a picture of Charlotte (3/31/09)....

There was a photo of me taken like this with all my animals around my head. I had done one of Caroline too (she's about 5 days older than Charlotte). I think the girls look less alike in these...

Caroline was being a little bookworm in our bedroom the other day...

Z sucks on his fist, too. He sometimes takes a paci, but doesn't keep it in too well.

I can't keep Z's hands out of the way when I am trying to latch. They are always wildly waving in front of him - I guess since he's so excited about getting some boobie! lol. I have to wrap one of them in my nursing tank strap so I can control his head with one of my hands and his other arm with my other hand! Don't worry, I take it out of the strap after he latches. ;-)
