Happy Easter

Well, my Easter morning didn't go as expected.

Caroline woke up at 5:30 am while I was feeding Charlotte with 103.5 temp. So, needless to say, I stayed home from church with the girls, while Kevin played on the praise team. I hear I missed a really great service and message (which I need to download and find time to listen to).

Thankfully, I got Caroline to go back to bed with me for an hour during Charlotte's first nap. Then she bounced all over the house like she felt fine for the rest of the morning.

We kept our lunch plans with our friends (aka Henry's parents), since I'm pretty sure that Caroline and Henry were sharing the same bug anyway.

After lunch, I put the girls in their Easter best for a quick photo op. and Easter baskets.

(Aren't their baskets cute. Let me tell you, I spent hours deciding what to do about them since I visited four stores and couldn't find anything to co-ordinate with Caroline's old basket, so I started over and got two new ones. Now you know where Caroline gets her OCD tendencies.)

I'm kind of glad that our Easter felt all upside down because it reminds me that Easter isn't about all the holiday traditions. It's about celebrating Jesus and that He lives. I also think it's neat that Kevin will probably play every Easter morning at church for years to come - leaving the family Easter basket fun for after church and lunchtime. I pray that this will help our girls to know that Jesus comes first on Easter.
