Just a quick update...
Caroline is off spending a few days with Granny. I can't wait to hear all the stories. So far all I know is that Caroline told her cousin Paige (1 year younger) that Caroline was not going to take turns sitting in Paige's chair. I guess what we are teaching her about sharing isn't working. But it did give Granny a good laugh. She left Saturday evening and will be back Tuesday evening.
I'm enjoying cooing at Charlotte without feeling like Caroline is missing out on attention and getting things done during Charlotte's naptimes without feeling torn over not spending quality time with Caroline. Ahhh, motherhood. I also feel light on my feet since I'm not tripping over Caroline trying to help me in the kitchen.
Kevin earned big husband points yesterday by letting me go to Wal-mart during Charlotte's evening fussy period. On top of that, he moved our kitchen baby gate to the utility room and put the clean sheets back on our bed (while wearing Charlotte in the baby sling, no less). I'm telling you, this guy is AWESOME!! How did I get so lucky.
Oh, and I had a quick visit with my best friend this weekend. And she brought me belated birthday cupcakes from the bakery that made my wedding cake - YUMMY!!
And lastly, I'm getting really close to having Charlotte off of the sheild. I'd say we are only using it 20% of the time right now. I guess not having Caroline distracting me has helped me make some big strides in that area.
Gosh, I'm having a really blessed week so far. Praise the Lord!! It totally makes up for mastitis last week, a cold, my check engine light coming on (but it miraculously went off), and discovering a cavity (pray I make it until our new dental insurance kicks in next month).
Gee, that wasn't such a quick update. Well off to wake up and feed Charlotte.

I am glad this week is starting out MUCH better than last.
Glad things are going so well for you. :)
I succumbed to the shield last night. Zack completely lost his latch after my milk came in, so he pretty much starved all day yesterday! Shield helped out (when he doesn't bite down and make me bleed! argh!). Lactation consultant recommended by my pedi is coming tomorrow just to make sure everything is going alright.
Wow! I am glad to hear things are on the up and up!
