It's all coming back

Here are some tid-bits about babies that I'd forgotten...

- little socks that pop off
- sore mommy shoulders
- involuntary arm movements (one of my favorites)
- that whimper when they are finally soothed by the pacifier
- what a small amount of poop they have
- waking up to realize that I fell asleep nursing and I'm half undressed over an hour later
- how physically strong something so small can be when all you want to do is get the diaper fastened
- carpel tunnel in my left hand from curving my wrist to cradle a baby

On other topics. People always say that your toddler will seem so grown up compared to the baby. I'd been mulling that over a lot before Charlotte was born, so Caroline's seemed pretty much the same to me. But the one thing that shocks me is how big her hiney is when she has a #2 accident in her pull-up and I have to wipe her up.

Another thing about second kids. I feel really guilty that Caroline has to listen to Charlotte cry. It doesn't seem to upset her, but when I'm having to let Charlotte cry to get breakfast on the table or something, I feel bad for Caroline. I guess all the extra Playhouse Disney makes up for it ; )

I agree wholeheartedly with Marianne! And, it's SO true about realizing how big the first's bottom is! It's funny you should write that, because I remember thinking that about Madelyn's behind!
