Under the knife

I guess I'll do a post on this so everyone will know...

I'm having outpatient surgery on Friday, May 2nd at 9 am. It's for a pilonidal cyst that I've had recurring issues with since I was 8 months pregnant with Caroline. I initially had it lanced and have treated recurring infections off and on since then. Really, the only chance at a permanent solution is to go in and get the deep down infection out.

They say the recovery is 3 - 4 days to get through the worst of it. My parents are coming to watch Caroline on Friday while Kevin is with me at the hospital.

I prayed for confirmation about my surgeon - I didn't want a surgeon that wasn't familiar with these b/c some people end up having multiple surgeries - and I felt really good about him after meeting and talking to him.

While I have a lot of faith in my surgeon, I keep reminding myself that only the Great Physician can truly heal me of this issue for good.

You can pray for a good surgery, that this will be the last one I need for this, and that I have a quick recovery so I can take care of Caroline by myself on Monday.
