New Couch for the Couch Potato

Okay, so some of my friends don't think I'm a couch potato. So, I guess I'll just admit to the fact that I watch more TV than I'm proud of. Although, since that post, I haven't had much time for TV.

All that to say... yay!! We have a new couch. Goodbye, Kevin's college futon!! It's been my mission for the past 5 1/2 years to get rid of that thing.

We got a very decent tax refund this year and Kevin offered to get the sectional that I've been wanting since we moved to Houston.

Here's the before (okay, it's Feb 2007 - but you can see what I was working with):

Here's the after:

We are keeping the tan recliner - which is almost a match to the couch. I bought the brown curtains today and they really warm the place up.

Caroline's new favorite activity is to climb up and sit on the foot of the recliner.

Oh, and we finally hung our surround sound speakers. I hope they aren't too much of an eye sore.

That stuffed animal thing made me laugh.

We got the couch at Gallery Furniture. We'd never been there before. I liked it.

Surround sound speakers are not eyesores, they are beautiful! I wish we had them in every room in our house.

It looks GREAT!!! I am wanting something similar (sectional) for our gameroom. Right now, we have a random couch and futon up there. Is that microfiber?
