We had Caroline's picture done today. Technically, she isn't 18 months old for another week, but I guess it counts.
She did really good. We went to Portrait Innovations, of course. I got there early so she could warm up to the place and we left the room anytime they wanted to change the background (that was part of the problem in January). The photographer did a great job playing with her and getting her to smile.
I finally went for the profile shot that they take everytime we go. I think the dark background helped her dress to stand out more than the white background. You can also see the curls on her neck and her dimples.
In this next picture, there is actually a row of stuffed animals in front of her. In fact, they had just knocked down a larger bear b/c his head ended up in the first snap.
Both pictures are of her "good side" since it seems she's facing to the right in every portrait we've taken.

BEAUTIFUL!! Truly, her smile shows off the joy and grace that are so obviously in her heart and in her life (at home with you two!). Love it, Margaret. =
P.S. think I'll get some portraits done of Abigail. :)
love the dark background! she's getting so big. :)
Oh my! The sparkle in the eyes, the dimples, the red hair. Makes this grandma just melt! Sooo cute!
She's beautiful! I love that profile picture. She has the sweetest little face. I suspect that it's one that will be out long after all the other snaps are put into books.
She takes GREAT pictures !!!! They look amazing !!!!
Oh, she's sooooo beautiful! What a good mommy! Madelyn's only professional pics were her 1-years, which were taken when she was actually 15 months! Caroline is such a cutie!!!!
Cute pictures! I guess she got a good nap, then! :)
Those are so sweet, I especially like the profile! Beautiful!
Beautiful pics - but so hard to believe she's almost 18 months old - yes, there's a lump in Granny's throat (okay, and maybe a tear in the corner of my eye).
