Backing up to the weekend...

Just to update you... Caroline is fully recovered from the peanut incident (see previous post). We are meeting with an allergy doctor on March 5th. I'm really not that worried about it all. Peanuts should be fairly easy to stay away from and she could outgrow it.

But, lets back up to my birthday weekend : )

My mom and dad came down on Friday morning, so that my mom and I could go birthday shopping. I got lots of new shorts, a few tops, and some work out clothes to wear this summer. I (err, I mean, Kevin) also bought me a bathing suit.

On Saturday, my dad and Kevin spent the day installing shelves all over the house. We have tons of closet space, but there were a lot of places that there was so much height, that an extra shelf made better use of the space. They also reconfigured two of my kitchen cabinets, so that I now have slots for cookie sheets and cutting boards... my favorite project. They also fixed our front gate so that it would latch... which I think is truely the project that I'm most grateful for... no more dogs pushing the fence open while Caroline is napping, leaving me in a dilemma of how to find the dogs and get them back to the house.

Saturday night, Kevin and I went to a couples night with my MOPS group. They put candles in the dessert for me... how sweet. Oh, and to back up, on Thursday night, Kevin brought home two slices of chocolate cake from Kroger for our small group and I got candles that night too. Talk about a birthday weekend celebration : )

Sunday, Kevin washed and vacuumed my car. It's needed it for awhile, but I didn't think Caroline would appreciate helping me do it. But Kevin decided to take her outside and do it for me. I stayed inside and got a few scrapbook pages done. I was really nervous about how he was going to wash and vacumm the car while keeping Caroline out of the street and in the driveway. Luckily, within two minutes of going outside, Abby showed up. Abby is one of our neighbors and she LOVES Caroline. All the neighbor girls do, but Abby is the most vocal - thus, the only one that I can really remember the name of. She was a huge help playing with Caroline.
