I feel like such a mean mother. I was working on the computer in the upstairs bedroom and Kevin was watching football in the loft. Caroline was keeping busy bringing me books and looking at herself in a mirror that I've yet to hang up. Kevin came in to consult on something and we discovered that three diapers were strewn on the floor beside me. Not wanting this to become a bad habit, I scolded Caroline and made her pick up the diapers and put them back (along with the other four diapers laying by the organizer at the changing table).
Then, I thought for a moment and checked her diaper. She was dirty!!
Poor Caroline was trying to tell us to change her diaper and she'd gotten the diapers out to tell us. : ( Of course, I apologized right away for disciplining her. She's in bed now and I still feel bad. Oh well, another lesson in parenting.
Now for a funnier story.
Kevin taught Caroline to do "The Itsy Bitsy Spider." Of course, she only does part... putting her fists together to go "up the spout" and moving her hands to "rain down." He sang it with her about four times this afternoon and then at bathtime she started doing it. So, Kevin and I are in the bathroom (him on a stool and me on the closed toilet) and we are both singing away with the motions. Everytime the song came to an end, she'd point to me and put her fists together to sing again. I think we did it about six times before I told her that we were finished.

What a cute diaper story! Maybe she'll potty-learn early. :D
