For Labor Day weekend, Kevin, Caroline and I headed to Dallas with my best friend's family. This was our second road trip with them, but the first since we've had children. I think we survived the weekend really well considering we were in our mini-van for a total of 8 hours with two girls under 18 months old. Kevin and Brandon took the driver's seat and shotgun. Then Caroline and Grace rode in the middle, while Jennifer and I rode in the third row. We gabbed all the way to Dallas and all the way back. Both our husbands don't understand how we'll manage to find something to talk about on the phone this week : )
We got a lot of other visiting in this weekend too.
First, we saw one of my college friends/roommate, Julie, and her husband, Russell, and 7 week old daughter, Alyssa.
Then, we had dinner with Kevin's college buddys, Frank and John, and their wives, Kristin and Amber.
Another of my college friends, Ann, and her husband, Jason, also joined us for dinner.
We even got some swimming in at the hotel pool.
What a blast!! And I'm just so relieved that the girls did okay on the car ride.
We are so blessed by our friendships and I'm so thankful that they are still going strong and can pick up right where they left off.

Hey Welch Family-
Looks like you and the Palmers had quite the road trip. How much fun and the picture with you, Jennifer, and Julie makes me smile and think of old times. I would love to see a picture of the Houston Chapter of the Welsey Women'ts Bible Study, but including the next generation of Godly women and or men as the case maybe! You all stay dry, not sure yet what this next big storm may do to the Texas coast.
