Mama

Wow, a third post from me today... can you believe it : )

So, I think Caroline can say "mama."

While she's been making the sound for quite a while, I think she's discovering the purpose. Yesterday, when we were still in Tyler, I had nursed Caroline and then passed her off to my mom for breakfast and I went back to bed (grandma rocks). Mom told me that Caroline crawled all over the living room saying "ma ma ma ma" like she was looking for me.

She's been saying it a ton the past two days. She for sure says it everytime I put her on the changing table. And she says it a lot when she crawls up to me.

Kevin originally thought that it was just her sound of the day - gee, thanks for deflating my ego, hon. But now he's coming over to my side that she really means it. She says it with a different force than most of her babble. It just warms my heart.

Oh, and she was turning the pages today when I did her bedtime story. I was so proud of her, it just makes me smile : ) I love that little girl of mine.

Oh, and she pulled up on the wall today and walked herself down to the window and reached for the pull cord of our blinds. I told her "no no" right before she got it. She looked at me like "aww, ma, really?" She made a little pouty face, but didn't touch it and sat down and crawled off. Point for me : ) Mental note - shorten pull cord.

Awwww. :) I'm still waiting for anything that I can even pretend is a word with Lydia. :P

Well, I can't say that I'm exactly surprised by my little prodigy granddaughter's accomplishments, but I love reading about them!

Maybe she will shame Seth into talking - I think I've caught him quietly saying words just after I've given up on trying to coax him into it - he's just trying to get our goats!
