Here is a post that is all about girls...
Girl 1:
My grandma is steadily improving. It appears that her heart is having fibrillations which is what probably caused this whole episode. It is something that they can try to control with medication. Pray that medication will control this because option B would be a pacemaker. She was given a chemical stress test late this afternoon so we'll get the results from that tomorrow.
Girl 2:
Caroline enjoyed her first day of VBS. I guess I can say it was VBS even though she is in the nursery, where I'm volunteering. I'm helping watch the kids of the teachers. Caroline was in room 1 with the babies and I worked in room 2 with the walkers. Caroline seemed so small when I went to get her. And I don't know if it was being away from her, or watching ten strangers kids, but I was so excited to get home and play with my precious daughter.
Girl 3, 4, 5, ...
I got to hang out with some wonderful new girlfriends this past weekend.
Friday was Girls' Night Out for our Sunday school class. I went to Starbucks with four girls from our class. Three of them are pregnant and the other has a daughter that is one month younger than Caroline. So, of course, we talked about pregnancy, child birth, and babies about 90% of the time. It was a blast!!
I think it is such a blessing that Caroline was so young when we moved to Houston. At the time, it felt really stressful, but being a new mom has created this instant bond with all of my new friends. I'm sure it was part of God's plan all along - to help me fit in.
Then, I got to hang out with even more girls from our church at a baby shower on Saturday. I hadn't realized how much I missed girl time. I've had some showers and girl time before, but I've always taken Caroline with me. These were my first times to be away from Caroline for something other than an errand or appointment. It was decadent.
And since I can't make a post without a picture... here is one to prove to my baby shower friends that Kevin really did put the baby towel on his head at our shower.

My Grandma has a pacemaker and she is doing great! So, I wouldn't worry, if it has to come down to that for your Grandma.
Oh, and love the pic! :-)
